Why are Peterson Tool Company products called Thrift something?

According to Webster's Unabridged Dictionary: thrift n. care in the management of one's resources / thrifty adj. practicing good management; prosperous. Now isn't that what we are all after?

Why is copper the color of Peterson's logos?

The fundamental unit of most of the world's monetary systems is the penny. It behooves all of us to watch every penny to be thrifty. The copper color we use is also shiny as in "shiny as a new penny". It's lucky when you have a shiny new penny. We like to think that we can pass off some of that luck to you when Peterson Tool products are used.
